The CAMSS24EX Shelter System is a highly mobile, ruggedized, all-weather, portable shelter system for rapid worldwide deployment. It is a versatile mid-size fabric shelter system.
Numerous Applications
Measuring 24’ wide by 32.5’ long by 12’ high at the peak, the CAMSS24EX Portable Shelter System is perfect for billeting, command centers, recreation facilities, storage, equipment maintenance shops, and for protecting equipment that requires a temperature controlled, stable environment. The shelter may be connected directly end to end with another CAMSS24EX using the cover connector flap or complexed to other CAMSS Shelter models using optional CAMSS Corridors.
Complete Portable Shelter System
The complete standard CAMSS24EX Shelter System includes the fabric cover, frame, flooring, Extreme Temperature Kit, double zipper doors, spares kit, erection tools, and technical manual. Options include an electrical kit with quick connect lights and outlets, connecting corridors, and 463L compatible composite containers. Optional hard personnel doors and aluminum framed swing-out vehicle doors may be substituted for the double zipper personnel doors.
Fast Set-up Portable Shelter
Five properly trained personnel, using only the tools provided with the shelter system, can assemble the CAMSS24EX in 30 minutes. The assembly follows a logical sequence and parts are color coded and interchangeable.
Extreme Climate Kit
Extreme Temperature Liners are part of the standard CAMSS24EX Portable Shelter System. The kit includes a ruggedized liner system that provides efficient and effective insulation. The single-piece upper liner creates a dead air attic space and vents in the end panels allow a natural flow of air. Sidewall liner panels Velcro directly to the upper liner panel and to permanently attached Velcro on the arches, without the use of tie straps. These liners are effective in temperatures from -55 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit with a solar load. The removable HVAC plenum is pre-attached to the upper liner panel at the factory, further reducing the shelter setup time.
Vector Proof
The vinyl, slip-resistant interior floor attaches to the cover and end panels with Velcro to protect against bugs and critters.
HVAC Compatible
The shelter is equipped with a set of 18” HVAC ports in each end panel that are compatible with standard Mil-Spec ducts. A pass-through port allows electrical lines or hoses to be installed through the end walls without compromising the integrity of the shelter.
Compact Transportation
Using only 80 cubic feet of space when packed, this 780 square foot system is very suitable for worldwide deployments using military trucks, ships, or aircraft. An entire CAMSS24EX Portable Shelter System can be packed into a 44” wide x 102” long x 32” high wood shipping container and six of these packed shelters may be shipped on one 463L pallet.
Optional Composite Container
The CAMSS Small Composite Container is available for storing and shipping the CAMSS24EX Portable Shelter. This lightweight, weather-tight, single-walled, forkliftable, composite container measures 44” wide x 102” long x 32” high. It is man-liftable, when empty, and may be stacked three high when packed. One complete CAMSS24EX Shelter, with set up tools, will fit in a CAMSS Small Composite Container and six containers will fit on one 463L pallet for air shipment.
