The CAMSS15HD is a highly portable, ruggedized, all-weather military shelter system that is designed for rapid deployment worldwide. This shelter provides a 70 psf snow load for extreme conditions while maintaining all the key attributes of a portable shelter.
Heavy Duty Fabric Structure
The CAMSS15 Heavy Duty (HD) Shelter measures 15 feet wide by 13 feet long by 8 feet tall and is designed for extreme weather conditions. Its heavy duty, aluminum frame and fabric enable this shelter to support a 70 lbs. per square foot snow load and a 100 mile per hour wind load.
Complete Portable Shelter System
The complete system includes the fabric structure with frame, flooring, extreme temperature and high humidity kit, double zipper doors, spares kit, erection tools, and technical manual. Other options include aluminum personnel doors, connecting walkways, complexing double zipper side entries, outlets, carrying bags and straps, 463L compatible containers, and a 26 foot long configuration.
From the Middle East to the Arctic Circle
Extensive field use of the compact, all-weather, shelter system proves the durability and use of the shelter in extreme climates. The double-overlap, tight fit of the cover prevents water penetration during high wind and rain. During extreme weather testing the CAMSS maintained a comfortable room temperature with outside temperatures of -55 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit.
Rapid Deployment Shelter
The arch components of the CAMSS15HD nest into each other. The fabric cover system and accessories fit tightly into bags and lifting straps to allow easy transport by vehicle, train, ship, or air.
Complexing Option
The CAMSS15HD cover is available with an optional connector flap, which allows multiple shelters to be connected end-to-end to make a long, continuous shelter. An optional vestibule flap on the end panel allows the shelter to be connected to other CAMSS shelters with a corridor.
Optional HVAC Ports
The shelter is available with a set of 18" HVAC ports in each end that are compatible with standard MIL-SPEC ducts. A pass-through port allows electrical lines or hoses to be installed through the end walls without compromising the integrity of the shelter.
Fast Set-up
A logical assembly sequence and color-coding makes set-up fast and easy. The CAMSS15HD can be fully assembled in 20 minutes by a crew of three personnel and requires no ladder or special tools for erection.
Optional Composite Container
The CAMSS Small Composite Container is available for storing and shipping the CAMSS15HD Shelter. This lightweight, weather-tight container, measuring 44" wide x 102" long x 32" high, is stackable and forkliftable. Two complete shelters, with set up tools, will fit in one container and six containers will fit on one 463L pallet for air shipment.
