CAMSS20EX Shelters Replace TEMPERS at Dobbins ARB, GA
6/22/2007 – A joint effort this week between Natick Soldier System Center, USAF Reserve, and CAMSS Shelters personnel resulted in the replacement of TEMPERs with CAMSS20EX Expeditionary Shelters, creating a modernized kitchen and dining area for training Services personnel. The upgrade to the new CAMSS20EX BEAR Kitchen Shelter System (KSS) will improve the Combat Training Center’s ability to provide food preparation and kitchen equipment operation training to military personnel prior to deployments. Other USAF training sites have made the transition from TEMPERs to the new CAMSS KSS.

National media visit Air Force Theater Hospital in Balad
2/23/2007 - BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq (AFNEWS) -- A Discovery Channel television film crew from Los Angeles and independent author Michael Mason from Tulsa, Okla., are visiting the Air Force Theater Hospital here this week for upcoming projects highlighting the contributions of Air Force Medical Service personnel in the war on terrorism. The crew is on-site to compile footage, interviews and personal stories of wounded service members and medical personnel working at the hospital for a nationally televised documentary series "Surgery Saved My Life." Mr. Mason will capture similar information, but is focusing specifically on war-zone head trauma health care for his upcoming book "Damaged." Read More
